It is a true joy for me to serve such an exciting, growing, purpose driven church! Helping this congregation represent the heart of God in the heart of Boca Raton continues to be both the greatest challenge and highest privilege of my career.

Our mission is "to EXPERIENCE god's love... and to SHARE God's love... as we BECOME fully devoted followers of Jesus." Experiencing, sharing, becoming... It's who we are. It's what we do through rich fellowship, engaging worship, active discipleship, caring ministry and heartfelt evangelism. I welcome you join us!

We have three unique services each Sunday: informal traditional style at 8:00 am, contemporary at 9:30 am and a more formal traditional service at 11:00am. Since graduating from Asbury College (1969) and Asbury Theological Seminary (1972), I have been serving United Methodist Churches in Florida. After more than 30 years, I am more excited than ever about being in ministry! I have been at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) of Boca Raton since 1994.

My wife (and college sweetheart), Sandy, enjoyed teaching middle school science for 17 years, and now loves working with 4 year olds in our Methodist Early Childhood Education Preschool here on the FUMC campus. We have two wonderful sons (Aaron and Matthew), two incredible daughters-in-law (Lindi and Natasza), and five grandchildren (Laney, Kaley and Joshua (Texas), and Owen and Luke (Baltimore)), who are the "lights" of our lives! Hiking trips to England, Austria, and Switzerland have now given way to "Nanny and Pop" trips to Austin, Texas and Baltimore, Maryland!

Sandy enjoys reading, exercise, and shopping for her grandchildren. I like working out at the YMCA, sailing, and woodworking. We both love to travel - especially to New England in the fall, and, of course, to Texas and Maryland any time! Most of all we love being part of the "FUMC Family", and look forward to many more years of serving God together in this place of love!
