When and where are the worship services?
We have six services:
Sundays 8:00 am  East Campus—Casual Traditional
Sundays 9:30 am  West Campus—Traditional
Sundays 9:30 am  East Campus—Contemporary
Sundays 11:00 am  East Campus—Traditional
Sundays 11:30 am  West Campus—Contemporary
Tuesdays  7:00 pm  East Campus—Celebrate Recovery

Although distinctly different, all services feature a great message from the pastor, as well as a time for greeting and fellowship, and a time for prayer. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month at all Sunday services. Professional nursery care is available for all our services. Click here for more details and service descriptions.


our childcare facility at FUMC I have young children. What is available for them during worship services?
First United Methodist Church offers professional nursery care for children ages infant to 3 years of age during all services. Sunday school is available at the 9:30 AM service on the East Campus and at both services on the West Campus for children three years through middle school. At the 11:00 am service, children on the East Campus, ages three through 5th grade are invited to join you at the beginning of the service for a story time.  What do I wear to church?
There is no dress code and you will see a variety of styles. In fact, you’ll find the Contemporary Sunday morning services quite casual. Some people attending the traditional services dress up, but others wear "workplace" or casual clothes.


What can I expect at your worship services?
We hope that nothing you experience at First United Methodist Church of Boca Raton will ever make you uncomfortable, but the "unknown" can make anyone a little uneasy. You might ask:

Do you all sing a lot?

Methodists love to sing.

Do you recite passages of church rituals?
No. The worship program guides you throughout the service.

How do I find my way around the church buildings?
Please see the church campus maps. On campus, you’ll find that we’re a very friendly group of people and would love to help you find your way.

Do I have to be a member to participate in the church’s activities and programs?
Visitors and persons who have not made a decision to join are welcome to participate in our activities here at First United Methodist Church. This way you will get to know us and we will get to know you.

How do I become a member of First United Methodist Church?
People who want to join the church participate in a five-week class called "Check-It-Out." Classes are offered quarterly. For more information, please call the church office at 561-395-1244.

How can I make a donation to First United Methodist Church?
Send your tax deductible financial contributions, made payable to First United Methodist Church, to First United Methodist Church, 625 NE Mizner Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33432.

Can I have my wedding at First United Methodist Church?
Call the church office at 561-395-1244 and speak to the office manager to clear the date of the wedding. You can then proceed to make two pre-marital appointments with the Pastor. At this time you will fill out the wedding form with information regarding the ceremony that you will require (organist, soloist etc.). The fees for these services will be listed on this form. This service is open to members and non-members alike.

How do I make arrangements for a baptism?
Call the church office to clear the date of the baptism with the Pastor’s secretary at 561-395-1244. Meet with the Pastor several weeks before the baptism.

When is communion served?
We provide Communion on the first Sunday of every month. Typically, we practice Open Communion which means it is not restricted by membership or age. All who desire to receive the sacrament may do so.
