Small Groups Start Anew in 2010
We will be starting our year off with great energy! We have new groups starting, many with Family as the focus. We will be leading two training sessions for facilitators, both new and old in January. The first is on January 13 at 6:30pm in the East Campus Small Dining Room, the second is a "make up" session in the East Campus Conference Room January 20 at 6:30pm. At each of these sessions we will be talking bout how your small groups should work. We will also be talking about "Life’s Healing Choices," the book study that will start in February. Anyone that is interested in small groups or leading a small group is ncouraged to come to one of the training sessions. We have a wonderful new group that started in November called "Sprouts and Me". It is a Mommy and Me-type group that meets every Wednesday. Mothers and reschool children are invited to come out Wednesday mornings to the West Campus for a morning of fun and fellowship with your kids. Melissa Walls is leading this group. Another new group starting in January is the Couples with Kids. This group is targeted for couples with children 3 years old and younger. The group will meet in the home with the idea that parents would get together, meet in each other’s homes, have dinner and let the children play together. Planned time would be approximately 2 hours in an evening, with the start time to be determined. You may contact Mary Beth Tate or Wil Brown for additional information. A few months ago, we started a Family Night open to all. The idea is to include the whole family. Starting with a dinner together in the Gathering Place with fellowship, then children would have an organized activity, as well as the adults. On the first night we met the movie "Fireproof" was featured. Family night is the second Friday of each month. Please contact Mary Beth Tate or Melissa Walls for additional details. In February, we are offering a book study to everyone "Life’s Healing Choices" by John Baker. This is a study that is through Saddleback Church.
