I was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and grew up in a rural farming town nearby, called Jackson. I received most of my college education from the University of West Florida, but finished up the last year of my Early Childhood Education degree with the University of South Carolina - Beaufort campus.

Galatians 5:13 - “Serve one another in love”
What do you like to do in your spare time?:
I love to read books, build tents with my kids, and take a moment to appreciate everything around me.
Who inspires you?:
My husband, whose logic and integrity never falters; my mom, whose heart shows me the meaning of life and being a Christian; and Jesus, whose compassion and love toward others is something to strive for and to be in awe of.
